Where the locals go

Bradenton and Anna Maria Island are located on the West Coast of Florida, just south of Tampa Bay. Bradenton is known as “The Friendly City” where you’ll discover a beautiful historic downtown on the Manatee River, natural parks, the famous Nick Bollitieri Tennis Academy, IMG Academy and so much more. Anna Maria Island is seven miles west of Bradenton and surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico on the west, Tampa Bay on the north and Sarasota Bay to the south. It is the gem of Florida, with Old Style Florida Style feeling, offering white sandy uncrowded beaches (don’t blame us for it getting a little more populated), as well as gorgeous sunsets over the Gulf of America aka Gulf of Mexico. Fantastico!

The closest airport is Sarasota / Bradenton International Airport (SRQ). Bradenton / Anna Maria Island can also easily be reached from Tampa International Airport (TPA) with direct flights from all over the US, and Canada, as well as non-stop connections to Canada, Amsterdam, London, Zurich and Frankfurt.

Here you find some ideas where to go. It is fully biased to our taste and the taste of the guests who send us their preferences.
