We rent one condo at Shorewalk: a ground-floor, two-bedroom end unit in building 4430, with a screened back porch that looks out over the lake. It sits inside a resort-style community in West Bradenton, which means you get the pools, the tennis courts and the clubhouse without owning any of it.
The condo
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to four guests. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, the second has two twin beds. The unit is tiled throughout, with a washer and dryer inside the condo and free high-speed wireless internet. It is an end unit in a quiet corner of the community, and the lake view comes with the back porch rather than with a surcharge.
Check-in is self-service with a secure combination door lock, so there is no key to collect and no one to meet. The condo can be booked nightly, weekly or monthly. No pets in this unit — if you are travelling with a dog, take a look at our pet-friendly pool home instead.
What the community offers
Shorewalk covers 30 acres of tree-lined streets and lighted sidewalks around six stocked lakes. There are two heated swimming pools, two jacuzzis, lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground and shuffleboard courts. The clubhouse adds BBQ grills, a library, table tennis, a billiard room, bocce and a large-screen TV. Pool passes are kept in the condo — please leave them there when you check out, so the next guests find them.
Where it is
IMG Academy is about five minutes away by car, which is why the condo books out around tournaments and camps. The Gulf beaches of Anna Maria Island are a short drive west — leave early in season if you want a parking space. Shops, restaurants and groceries in West Bradenton are minutes from the gate. Do I need a parking or pool pass?
Pool passes are kept in the condo and are yours to use during your stay — please leave them there when you check out. Parking is limited to one regular, non-commercial passenger car; trailers, RVs, trucks and boats are not allowed. How many guests can stay?
